His situation was heartbreaking: he was completely paralyzed in his hind legs, the result of severe trauma and suspected abuse from his former owner. The damage to his spinal cord was extensive. Coffee Bean was fitted for a wheelchair and began physical therapy to help him navigate his new reality; it was highly likely he would never walk again. But Coffee Bean had other plans.
